The Flying Tigers Motorcycle Club of Mt. Pleasant sponsored drag races here on several Sundays in 1968. Don Custer, Norm Peters and Bill Osselburn won the events on September 8. On Friday, August 22, 1975, six thousand people watched motorcycle drag races during the fair.
