When rain washed out the Boger City races, the Road Angels moved their racing to Sunset in Lincolnton on May 10, 1959. Sonny Sipe of Gastonia was top eliminator in his 1923 Model T truck. On July 19, 1959, Blair Keener raced his Pontiac against G. T. Hyder’s Pontiac in a match race of sorts.
