Glenn Houser, Paul Contorno and Robert V. Parker established this strip on September 14, 1964. Houser and Contorno owned the record-setting “World’s Wildest Willys” gasser sedan and a 1953 Studebaker gasser. The strip stopped running in July 1965, when the land was taken over for what is now M38 Airport. Some people called it “Blue Water” after nearby Blue Water Spring.
