This eighth-mile strip was three miles east of Sturgis on Highway 79, near the Glenco Campground. It opened as a drag racing venue for the Sturgis motorcycle rally, which dates to the late 1930s. Gary Lippold ran it in the early 1990s. Motorcycles were the focus in the early years, and the strip opened to other vehicles in 2002. In 2023 Black Hill Dragway LLC decided not to renew its lease.
