Little is known about this eighth-mile strip beyond a few newspaper ads from August and September 1971. They placed it ten miles west of St. Joseph, Missouri, and said it raced Friday nights and Sunday afternoons. Historical aerial photos and old topographic maps show nothing there that looks like a drag strip. A pro stock race with a $20,000 purse was scheduled for September 12, sponsored by the National Association of Pro Racing, a group nobody seems to have heard of.
