No one has pinned down where this strip was yet.

On September 4, 1966, James Galloway of McConnellstown was testing his car on a private asphalt drag strip owned by Dallas Speck, on the Speck farm in Walker Township, Huntingdon County. Near the end of the strip he lost control, the car rolled over, and he was thrown into a nearby field. He died about three hours later at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital. Nothing more has been found about the strip. Accounts differ on where he died. His death certificate says Hesston Speedway, in Penn Township, and Allen Brown’s book The History of America’s Speedways says Hesston had an eighth-mile drag strip in the 1960s, though no records confirm it. One researcher suggested both could be right: the two townships border each other, Hesston Speedway sits close to the line, and the strip may have gone by both names.
