This strip on the southwest edge of Smithville was the home track of Super Stock racer Charlie Lee. Earl Evans owned and ran it. A tornado badly damaged it in April 1968, and rather than pay to rebuild, Evans turned the land into a housing subdivision. The old strip is now Earl Avenue.
