At a race on May 30, 1965, seven drivers from Lincoln won classes or eliminators, among them Rich Lilja, who took Little Eliminator in his ‘57 Chevy, and Bruce Weeks, who won Stock Eliminator in his ‘65 Pontiac. The strip was in the 1967 NHRA Dragstrip Guide and on a list of 325 U.S. drag strips published in 1968 by the Swedish magazine Start & Strip. Harlan Jones managed the track in 1968. The races may have been held at Ainsworth Municipal Airport, seven miles northwest of town, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
