Shelor Automotive Group bought the Pulaski County facility and opened it in 2004 with an eighth-mile dragstrip next to a 0.416-mile paved oval. The dragway ran IHRA bracket racing and was named IHRA Division 1 Track of the Year. The complex was later renamed Pulaski County Motorsports Park, with oval racing returning and an IHRA lease announced for 2026. David Hagen donated the complex to Pulaski County, which owns it, and the IHRA only held a lease, so the track was not part of the IHRA’s 2026 auction. The strip got track work in April 2026, it ran no-prep test-and-tune nights that summer while the timing system was being finished, and a drag schedule is out for 2027.
