This strip was on the southeast side of Poplar Bluff, near Thomas Street and Highway 53. Eugene Brittain owned it in 1969. Young Paul McClure was badly hurt by an out-of-control race car while he was at the far end of the track working the switch that showed spectators the winning lane, and racing stopped soon after. In July 1969 an injunction was filed against the track as a public nuisance, and it closed then, reopening in 1971.
