The Halo Hunters car club held its second drag race since forming on October 14, 1956, on New State Road three miles east of Plymouth. It had held about four races when the State Highway Patrol stopped a planned race for Sunday, November 4, 1956, because the club had closed the highway without permission from the Huron County Commission.
