This strip was four miles south of Emporia on Highway 99, half a mile east of Emporia Airport. Teryl Price and Lyman Selby built and owned the half-mile asphalt track, which had a two-story timing tower, concession stands and restrooms. It opened under AHRA sanction on July 4-5, 1971, before almost 1,500 people. In spring 1972 it ran Thursday night grudge racing. It may have lasted only two years.
