Big races
Friday night run-what-you-brung
Open Friday night racing for street cars and bikes with a small gate fee and a separate fee to run; starts were flagged by hand after lightning damaged the timing system.
Atlantic Beach Bikefest racing
The strip opened around the start of Atlantic Beach Bikefest in 1980 and has long been tied to bike racing during that weekend.
History
Jimmy and George Livingston opened the track in 1980, shortly after Black Bike Week began. That event is now called Atlantic Beach Bikefest. The strip is seven miles from North Myrtle Beach and runs as an eighth-mile track. Jeffrey Gore, a cousin of the Livingstons, bought it in 2019 with another cousin, Michael Powell, so it has always stayed with members of the Livingston family. It ran on and off during the COVID pandemic.
