Little is known about this strip beyond what’s online. It was about ten miles north of Denver, just west of I-25, and at one time it was reportedly sanctioned by both AHRA and NHRA at once. The strip ran perpendicular to a state road, and the starting line was cramped, making it hard for push-started dragsters to turn around and line up. It had a few covered pits with power outlets and an unusually steep uphill shutdown area. Albert Broncucie owned and ran it. In 1969 it was renamed Mile High Raceway Park, and night racing had started by then. A big race on May 18, 1969 brought in fourteen AA fuel dragsters, and the track let a group of children with asthma in free. Ads for it promised the motorized bathtub of the Coloradoans, whatever that was. Headliners in 1969 included E. J. ‘The Michigan Madman’ Potter, Jim Nicholl’s Der Wienerschnitzel and Bob Sullivan’s Pandemonium. Full payouts required at least eight cars in an eliminator bracket, and fuel-burning and supercharged cars were barred from Sunday racing in 1970-71. Nothing has been found after 1971, so that’s taken as the last year. In early 2023 Molly Sabatino reported that the strip had been removed and new homes were going up on the site.
