Newspaper ads announced a grand opening on June 20, 1964, when this was the only drag strip in Quebec racing at night. At first it raced every Tuesday and Saturday night. It started as a quarter-mile strip and switched to an eighth-mile as speeds rose. In 1969 the strip became part of a 1.25-mile road course and was renamed Circuit Deux Montagnes. Only three or four drag races ran that year before bankruptcy ended racing. The track was repaved in 1990 and renamed Autodrome St. Eustache. It closed in 2019 over noise complaints, after the town had grown up close around it.
