This strip was just south of Highway 401 at exit 91, near Deseronto. The Peaceful Pacers car club of Kingston ran it until it went bankrupt in 1965, when Ernie Chapman took over. It closed partway through the 1968 season, then reopened later that year as Quinte Dragway under local businessman Roy Hayman. On July 13, 1969, a Bikini Blast let in any girl wearing a bikini for $1. Quinte Dragway lasted about three years and closed partway through the 1970 season. After eight idle years it reopened as Drag Motion Park in 1978, with John Cowling and Glen Cole as promoters from 1981. It closed in 1982 after rain hit the first six events. Jim Rini of Kingston was the first to top 100 mph at Mohawk, in his Chrysler-powered ‘32 Ford coupe. Shannonville Motorsports Park bought the grandstands, fencing, ticket booths and concrete barriers.
