Bud McCormick and Maurice Bousqet built this dedicated drag strip in Milton, Vermont. It was NASCAR sanctioned, and the first race was held on June 30, 1963. Jack Muldowney won top eliminator in his B Dragster on June 7, 1964. According to one researcher who has studied the strip closely, Shirley Muldowney raced stock cars there early in her career, though not her dragster. She ran a ‘65 Corvette there in April and May of 1965. On September 12, 1965, the track held a Money Bonanza Day with a purse of more than $2,000 and seven eliminator classes, and McCormick, a track official, expected more than 250 cars. Jack Dubrul II won often there in his dragster.
