This track started as an eighth-mile strip and was open by at least 1998. By 2000 it was IHRA sanctioned. Hennessey Performance bought it in 2004, took over operations, changed the name slightly to Lone Star Motorsports Park, and lengthened it to a quarter mile. Around 2016 John Hennessey closed it to the public and kept it for his own testing.
