In 1962 the Calgary Drag Racing Council held at least two races, on May 20 and August 12, at Lincoln Park, an RCAF airfield on the former base in southwest Calgary. Newspaper ads for the races are the only record found, and they told fans to use the Sarcee Road gate. Mount Royal College was built on the southern part of the Lincoln Park airstrip in 1972. The northern part survived into the 1980s and was used for autocross and go-kart racing. In the 1990s the last of the airstrips were torn up for the expansion of Mount Royal, by then a university.
