In 2009 the track became Greg Chandler Motorsports Park, an IHRA eighth-mile strip. By 2015 it was back to the name Kanawha Valley Dragway Motorsports Park, run by Danny and Denise Clagg. In 2017 Tim Bell, a co-owner for more than 20 years, closed the track and put it up for sale for redevelopment, citing falling interest in drag racing and a weak economy.
