History

Nine local men built this strip, which opened under NHRA sanction on August 13, 1967. 4,000 spectators came, but timing system problems plagued the opener. David White was the track manager, and the strip raced every Sunday. It affiliated with IHRA in 1980. Today it runs as an eighth-mile track with no sanctioning body.
