What’s known about this strip comes from the memories of a few old-timers. The best directions put it on a barren tract just east of where the President George W. Bush Turnpike (TX-141) meets the Texas 114 Express Toll Road. One old-timer gave the most detail: a gravel road turned south and then east toward Story Road, and the track lay south of it, running north and south in a corn field. With nothing else around, it looked almost like a runway. He said Gary Byers remembered seeing cars run there and thought it may have been called Sunset, but he had only heard of it as the private test strip of Bob Harrington, and maybe Mark Harrington. The Harringtons’ son had a pro stock car.
