This strip, also called Top O’ the Hill, was near Bossier City. A 3,000-foot drag strip was part of a 2.2-mile road course that was ready for racing in 1960. The drag strip’s grand opening on June 14, 1964 drew 3,200 spectators, but rain kept eliminations from finishing. Wiley Fallon was track director. In 1967 races ran every Saturday, moving to nights in late April, with Bob Futrell promoting. Part of the old course is a campground today.
