This NHRA-sanctioned eighth-mile track ran on an old taxiway of Victorville Army Air Field, renamed George Air Force Base in 1950. The base closed in 1992 and is now Southern California Logistics Airport. Bernie Longjohn managed the track in 1979. High Desert ran ET bracket races on the taxiway for six years, until 1980, when the operator moved to Los Angeles County Raceway and stayed there until that track closed in 2007.
