Sixteen miles east of York U.S. 30 Dragway, this strip ran quarter-mile drag racing in August 1962 at a small airport on the west side of Hallam. Thorton-Smyser-Strickler won super stock eliminator in mid-August, and another program was set for Wednesday night, August 22. Newspapers said it was NHRA sanctioned. In November the track announced Sunday afternoon racing all winter, with an automatic traffic light starting system and electronic winner lights.
