This airport about three miles northeast of Karnack held several drag races in the mid-to-late 1950s, and possibly into the early 1960s. A 1964 topo map labels it Beers Caddo Lake Airport, and as of 2016 it was called Fly-N-Fish Lodge Airport. The Gents car club of Marshall, which reportedly built the strip, ran races on March 18, May 30, July 8 and August 12, 1956, with help from the Karnack Lions Club, and followed AHRA rules. More than a thousand people came on July 8. The season ended with the Caddo Lake Championship on November 11, where 500 spectators saw Jimmy Watson of Marshall win top eliminator in his Ford-powered dragster. Watson had set the track record of 104.60 MPH at an earlier race.

The 1957 races were NHRA sanctioned. On May 12 that year, 600 spectators watched Eddie Hill win top eliminator in his Olds-powered dragster. One old-timer remembered seeing Hill race one of his early dragsters there in 1955 or ‘56, at what he called the Fly N Fish drags. The Fly N Fish was a fly-in fishing lodge on Caddo Lake, and the drags used its landing strip. Racer Max Williamson also wrote about racing at the airport in 1958.
