The Mid-Ohio Timing Association ran drag races on a strip 2.5 miles east of Reynoldsburg, on the south side of U.S. Route 40. Bill Hunter, a longtime Pipers Car Club member, later wrote down the story of this short-lived track. A few races ran in 1956, and the 1957 season opened on May 12. Admission was 50 cents, race entries $1.10 and drivers 90 cents. The fifth-mile track was insured and run under NHRA rules. Ads promoted races on May 17 and June 2, 1957, with the promise to see fuel injection in action. On October 12, 1957, Gordon Collett took top eliminator and top speed.
