Articles of incorporation for CMW Dragway, Inc. were filed in December 1970. Daniel Briseno, who has lived in Paris all his life, remembers the eighth-mile strip running for four years. It was about four miles south of Paris on the west side of Highway 1, and the Hazzard Brothers Car Club ran it.
