Jacques Bourassa began laying out and building an oval and road racing complex in the late 1960s and 1970, and it was reportedly ready for events in 1971. A paved eighth-mile drag strip was part of the complex, though the drags took a back seat to the oval and road racing. Money troubles closed it after only a few years, probably around 1974-76. It started running again around the mid-1980s and was revitalized in 2000. It apparently no longer operates, but that isn’t confirmed.
