The Cheyenne Timing Association was running drag races by 1959, with races that year on June 21 and July 24-26. Under NHRA sanction it raced once a month in 1960, and in 1961 on June 11, July 9, August 5-6 and September 10. The two-day August race was an NHRA regional, covered in the January 1962 Hot Rod. In 1962 races were held on May 6, June 3, July 1 and August 12. Al Farrens managed the track in 1968. One researcher placed the old strip on the east side of Highway 85, just north of the Colorado-Wyoming line and just east of Terry Ranch Road. The asphalt is gone.
