No one has pinned down where this strip was yet.
By 1953 Champaign had a successful drag race program at a nearby airfield, backed by the police and run to benefit a local car club. Members of the Mattoon Blockbusters Car Club raced there and at a strip in St. Charles, Missouri. Little else is known.
