History

According to the track’s website, this outlaw eighth-mile strip opened in 1963. Carl Brummett may have been its first owner and certainly owned it in the 1970s and later. He died in 1995. The strip is on the north side of Gatesville Road in wooded country, five miles north of Nashville and half a mile east of Bean Blossom. Sandy Fields owns and runs it now. The strip has been in her family for many years, and she bought it in 1992 from her brother, Donnie Allender, and his business partner, Tim Haney.
