Little documentation exists for this quarter-mile strip, which shares an airfield with the Pennfield Raceway road course. One website says it started around 1963, which hasn’t been confirmed, and 1983 is the more likely opening year. The property was sold to Uby Gaudet early in 1981. Wendell Howes became promoter in 1983, the same year the name Atlantic Dragway came into use.
