An eighth-mile drag strip ran here for several years alongside a third-mile paved oval that opened in 1955. Old topographic maps and aerial photos show the strip as an extension of the oval’s northwest straightaway, and one online source says the first turn was cut away in 1960 to make room for it. The oval and drag strip, on fifteen acres, were put up for auction in October 1967. Beyond a short online speedway history, little has been found.
