This strip took its name from the small community of 13 Forks. It sat about half a mile north of where Thirteen Forks Road meets Maple Springs Road, in an area that’s now heavily wooded. The 1975 topographic map labels it “Drag Strip,” and it shows clearly in 1972 aerial photos, with the return road on the north side and far fewer trees than today. Little else is known about it.
